Evangelists Billy Graham and Percy Crawford on the speaker's platform during the rally. Graham had been the speaker at the very first Chicagoland YFC rally in 1944. During the 1945 Memorial Day Rally he participated in the missionary pageant, representing North America. Crawford’s Young People’s Church of the Air was an important model for the YFC movement.
